1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Blue Almond, based in Warsaw, Poland ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Logi Food Coach mobile application ("App").

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Apple App Store and Google Play policies regarding health data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1. Account Information (Authentication)

Registered Users:
If you create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information via Google SSO or Apple SSO.

Guest Users (Anonymous Mode):
If you use the App without registering, we create a generated anonymous identifier (via Firebase) linked to your specific app installation. We do not collect your email in this mode.

2.2. Health & Metabolic Data (Core Service)

To provide metabolic analysis and glycemic predictions, you may choose to input or sync the following data:

Manual Entry:

  • Food photos
  • Meals
  • Body weight
  • Lab results (e.g. glucose, insulin for HOMA-IR)

Platform Integrations (Optional):
With your explicit permission, we may access data from Apple Health (HealthKit) or Google Fit (Health Connect), including:

  • Blood glucose
  • Sleep analysis
  • Step count / active energy
  • Dietary energy (calories and macronutrients)

2.3. User Content (Photos, Text & Logs)

We collect content that you voluntarily provide to the App, including:

  • Food Photos: Images you upload for AI-based food recognition and analysis.
  • Text Inputs & Notes: Manual meal descriptions, search queries, personal notes, mood or energy feedback, and any other text you enter into the App’s journal or chat interface.
  • Aggregated Logs: Your historical meal entries and associated data points, processed to generate personalized insights, trends, and reports.

2.4. Usage Data

We collect limited technical data (such as device type and crash reports) to ensure application stability and performance.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process your data strictly to provide the App’s functionality:

  • AI Analysis: Estimating macronutrients and glycemic index from food data
  • Health Insights & Education: Generating glycemic response predictions, habit consistency views, and personalized metabolic reports
  • Account Management: Syncing data across devices (registered users only)

4. Special Provisions: Health Connect & Apple HealthKit

This section explicitly addresses requirements from Google and Apple regarding sensitive health data.

4.1. No Sale of Data

We strictly do not sell, trade, or rent your health data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

4.2. No Advertising Use

Data obtained through Health Connect or Apple HealthKit is never used for advertising, marketing, or profiling. It is used solely to display health trends and improve metabolic estimations.

4.3. Health Connect Limited Use

The use of information received from Health Connect complies with the Health Connect Permissions Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Processors

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Data is shared only with trusted third-party processors required to operate the App.

5.1. Infrastructure & AI

  • Google Cloud & Firebase: Hosting, authentication, databases, storage, and computing
  • AI Providers (e.g. OpenAI, Google Gemini): Used to analyze food, text input, and generate personalized insights

5.2. Subscriptions & Payments

  • RevenueCat: Subscription validation and management
  • Apple App Store & Google Play: Payment processing (we do not access financial details)

5.3. Analytics & Marketing (Usage Data Only)

  • Google Analytics
  • PostHog
  • AppsFlyer

5.4. Protection of Health Data in Analytics

  • No transmission of specific health values to analytics or marketing tools
  • Events may indicate actions (e.g. “meal logged”) but never contain health metrics
  • Sensitive health data is never used for advertising or targeting

6. Data Retention

Active Accounts:
Data is retained while your account remains active to provide history and trends.

Deletion:
You may delete your account at any time via App settings. Data is removed from active databases immediately.

Guest Mode Warning:
If you use an anonymous account and delete the App or lose your device, your data cannot be recovered.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data.

  • Export: Use the “PDF Medical Export” feature in the App
  • Delete: Use the “Delete Account” option in Settings

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) and secure Google Cloud infrastructure. However, no system is 100% secure and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
